HTTP 413·Uploading a file

What it means

What happened

The file is larger than the upload limit for your current filebin.ca access tier.

Why

Why it might have happened

  • Anonymous browser uploads are capped at 10 MB per file.
  • Signed-in and API-key uploads allow larger files, but still have per-file caps.
  • The upload may be coming from a tool that is sending more bytes than expected.
Next steps

What you can try

  1. Upload a file that is 10 MB or smaller when you are not signed in.
  2. Sign in, or use an API key with file:create, for the higher account tier.
  3. Split large archives into smaller files before uploading.
